Telescoping Coil Lifter
A Telescoping Coil Lifter is commonly used for handling coils where the centerline is horizontal. The Telescoping Coil Lifter offers a low head room profile and accommodates a wide range of coil sizes (O.D. and width). Bradley Lifting produces a mill-duty Coil Lifter with many standard features.
- Fabricated main body construction (not bolted!) for superior strength, rigidity and reliability.
- Heavy duty fabricated lifting legs
- Tapered leg design to minimize coil edge drag during lift
- Rack & Pinion drive system that stays timed throughout the range of motion
- Heavy duty drive system with double enveloping worm gear drive that resists back-driving (i.e. unintended opening of legs).
Options include:
- Contact plates with limit switches to minimize coil edge damage
- Contact switches in the lifting feet to lock-out the OPEN button on the crane control when under load
- Sensors to detect the I.D. of the coil
- Signal lights for “ready-to-engage” and “ready-to-lift” conditions
- Various liner materials for lifting feet and contact plates for added coil protection
- Built-in rotate drive systems
- For sheet inspection, integral coil unwind & rewind drives in the legs.
All below-the-hook lifting equipment from Bradley Lifting is designed and manufactured in conformance with the ASME B30.20 standard.
