Multi-Leg Telescoping Drive Lifters

Multi-Leg Telescoping Drive Lifters are used for handling ingots, slabs, stacks of plate or sheet and rows of billets. As the length of the load increases, additional support legs are required to provide stability during the lift, to avoid excessive deflection of the load and to increase the overall load capacity of the unit.

Multi-Leg Telescoping Drive Lifters have two other benefits. First, when handling stacks of material, the motorized legs allow for precise picking at varying stack depths (i.e. called “pack splitting” when handling sheets). And second, a much larger variation in the width of the plates can be accommodated by the Telescoping Drive Lifter versus other lifting equipment, such as a Plate Tong.

A few options for a Multi-Leg Telescoping Drive Lifter include centerline rotation, direct reeving into the crane and low headroom bail configurations.

All below-the-hook lifting equipment from Bradley Lifting is designed and manufactured in conformance with the ASME B30.20 standard.
